## Description

WSP is seeking an Environmental Permitting Project Manager to support its Natural Resources and Environmental Planning practice across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.

The selected candidate will manage permitting and environmental planning projects, working closely with subject matter experts, biologists, environmental planners, engineers, and regulatory specialists.

Responsibilities include:

- Developing permitting strategies and regulatory pathways for infrastructure, energy, utility, transportation, and industrial projects

- Preparing and reviewing permit applications, technical reports, environmental assessments, and supporting documentation

- Coordinating with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals

- Managing project tasks, budgets, and schedules

- Mentoring junior staff and supporting business development efforts

The ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Environmental Planning, Ecology, Geography, or a related field

- At least 7 years of experience in natural resources, environmental permitting, or a related field

- Strong understanding of environmental permitting processes and regulatory frameworks

- Experience coordinating with agencies such as USACE, USFWS, NOAA, EPA, and state natural resource agencies

- Demonstrated project management experience, including scope development, budget management, and client communication

Preferred qualifications include:

- A master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Planning, or a related field

- Previous project management experience in the environmental field

- Experience managing multidisciplinary environmental and permitting projects

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credential
