## Description

Wealthsimple is seeking a Specialist, Counterparty Credit Risk to join their Credit Risk Operations team. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end counterparty credit risk assessment and ongoing monitoring process.

The role involves working closely with various teams to ensure every counterparty is rigorously evaluated and that exposure remains within the company's risk appetite. The ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of experience in counterparty credit risk, credit analysis, or a relevant credit risk management role in an investment dealer or brokerage environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Owning and improving procedures for counterparty credit risk assessment processes

- Conducting comprehensive credit assessments and providing detailed written recommendations

- Monitoring concentration limits and stress testing results

- Assisting in drafting, maintaining, and enforcing counterparty credit risk policies

- Collaborating with different teams in a fast-paced environment
