## Description

KUSA KTVD-TV Denver, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Denver, is seeking an innovative Producer to shape daily newscasts. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, motivated journalist who works well within a team to bring the truth to growing audiences across platforms.

Responsibilities:

- Pitch compelling stories using natural curiosity

- Showcase creativity and storytelling skills

- Craft stories of all lengths on all platforms for specific audiences

- Meet daily deadlines

- Combine live pictures, graphics, compelling video, and emotional sound to create an engaging experience

- Provide continuous coverage on live streams for breaking news and community events

- Try new things after thoughtful discussion with supervisors

- Drive content in rundowns with impactful and emotional conversations

- Use data analytics to help shape show content

- Challenge traditional ways of doing things

- Ensure all communities and viewpoints have a voice and presence in the show

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree preferred in journalism, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience

- 3-5 years of news content experience

- Top-notch communication skills

- Solid journalistic judgment and a news philosophy emphasizing accurate, fair, and unique local content

- Understanding of professional journalism tenets

- Skills in producing engaging newscasts and digital content

- Strong social media skills

- Organizational skills and ability to work under time pressure

- Ability to handle live, breaking news situations and changing events

- ENPS and Edius system experience preferred
