As a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Apps team, you'll be at the forefront of building and scaling ZoomInfo's core backend services. You'll work primarily with Node.js to develop robust, high-performance systems that power our platform and serve millions of users.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and related frameworks

- Architect and implement microservices that handle high-volume traffic and complex business logic

- Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve complex technical challenges

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices

- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers on modern development practices

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed systems

- Contribute to technical architecture decisions and system design

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for backend services

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

- 6+ years of experience with backend software development using Node.js and Angular

- 3+ years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

- 2+ years of experience leading projects and providing technical leadership

- Strong expertise in Node.js frameworks and technologies

- Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture

- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases like MongoDB

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

- Experience with Java for backend development

- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools

- Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI technologies to enhance productivity, code quality, and problem-solving

- Experience with cloud platforms, containerization and orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
