## Description

We're seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our team for 23 weeks, starting on January 12th. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will design, develop, deploy, and operate software solutions to help Twilio deliver real-time, low-latency capabilities for next-generation communications.

Responsibilities:

- Be a Software Engineer, not just an intern

- Ship multiple projects during the 6-month internship

- Learn from experienced engineers at Twilio who solve problems in distributed computing, real-time DSP, virtualization performance, and more

- Take ownership of core features and services that ship to our users

- Embrace challenges, learn quickly, and deliver high-quality results

- Develop technical skills and industry experience while working on complex distributed systems

- Participate in code reviews, bug tracking, and project management with the Twilio team

Qualifications:

- Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science

- Keen interest in software development with several side projects and involvement in the open-source community

- Entrepreneurial and can-do spirit, with a willingness to learn new technologies

- Experience writing code in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, C, or C++

Desired skills:

- Knowledge of unit and integration testing methodologies

- Experience with data processing, analytics, and business intelligence

- Familiarity with technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Python, and Scala

Location: This role will be remote and based in India. You must be located in one of the following states for the duration of the internship: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or Delhi.
