Working as a Store Director at Target means helping families discover the joy of everyday life. You will lead a team of experts, advocates, and consultants to ensure guests have a great shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include cultivating a guest-centric and engaged team, driving accountability, and owning the store's overall business to drive efficiency, safety, and sales growth.

As a Store Director, you will:

- Lead a talent culture through onboarding, development, and growth of leaders

- Drive accountability through clear expectations and consistent performance management

- Create and deliver sustainable and equitable talent strategies

- Be approachable and available for your team

- Recruit, hire, and retain a passionate team

- Oversee the scheduling process

- Own and implement leadership schedules

- Demonstrate and promote inclusivity

- Invest in and follow up on personal and team training

- Model creating a welcoming experience

- Drive a guest-obsessed culture

- Own your store's overall business

- Build and execute plans to run an efficient operation

- Lead a culture of financial accountability

- Know and assess the competition

- Build relationships with the store's community

- Leverage field support partners

- Set clear priorities for the team

- Own the safety culture and performance

- Validate an in-store security culture

- Address all store emergency and compliance needs
