## Description

We are seeking a Hospitality Assistant to join the team at Circle Reading Hospital, part of Circle Health Group. This bank role involves working on an 'as and when required' basis to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

The successful candidate will support all kitchen operations, undertaking a wide range of catering duties to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of food services. Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing food to agreed recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements

- Undertaking all kitchen duties as required, supporting colleagues to ensure daily catering operations run efficiently

- Ensuring all food is prepared, stored, and served in accordance with food safety legislation and organisational policies

- Understanding and complying with all emergency procedures, alarms, and evacuation protocols

- Working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team, recognising the contribution of colleagues across all departments

- Providing a welcoming, courteous, and professional service that enhances the patient experience

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience

- College, HND, or equivalent catering qualification, or relevant industry experience

- Good knife skills and safe food preparation techniques

- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

- Good understanding of HACCP principles, COSHH, and safe working practices

- Knowledge of infection prevention and food safety standards

- Excellent customer service skills

- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues

- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

- English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 7.0

- Willingness to work flexibly to meet service requirements

- Professional appearance and willingness to comply with the hospital uniform policy

Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £12.93 per hour, depending on level of experience, training, and qualification.
