## Description

As a Seed Technician at Bayer, you will focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Operating machinery and equipment for production processes

- Ensuring production processes happen safely, effectively, and with quality

- Mentoring and training new employees

- Performing basic maintenance of equipment and handling basic activities in Bayer systems

- Demonstrating Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach (VACC) behaviours

- Leading and engaging in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings

- Collaborating with key partners to deliver the business

- Complying with internal procedures and supporting legal compliance

- Demonstrating knowledge of and adherence to Bayer's Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards

You will also be required to:

- Operate equipment and execute tasks to enable seed production processes

- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections

- Troubleshoot problems associated with equipment, processes, and systems

- Apply operational excellence practices to operations

- Perform Site Responsible Researcher (SRR) duties

- Ensure upstream activities are handled within company standards and business requirements

The role involves driving a company vehicle, which may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually.

**Requirements:**

- High School Diploma or GED

- Basic knowledge of IT (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

- Valid Driver's License

- Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.

- Ability to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's Degree with an Agriculture focus

- Bilingual – Spanish

**Compensation:**

- Salary between $23.65 to $29.74 per hour

- Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission
