## Description

Salesforce AI Research Labs is seeking Research Scientists to build, ship, and scale the next generation of Enterprise AI. As a Research Scientist, you will work like a founder within Salesforce, identifying high-impact research directions, prototyping cutting-edge AI capabilities, validating ideas directly with customers, and turning the strongest concepts into production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Own and pursue ambitious, long-term research goals

- Develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems

- Lead teams to deliver on complex pure and applied research projects

- Identify research directions with the potential to transform Enterprise AI

- Turn promising ideas into zero-to-one AI product prototypes

- Work directly with customers to validate needs, test solutions, and refine product direction

- Build robust models, agents, and AI systems for real-world enterprise use

- Partner with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to bring solutions to market

Minimum Qualifications:

- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field

- Publication record in top AI venues

- Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages

- Experience with deep learning libraries/platforms

- Proven ability to implement, operate, and deliver results via innovation at large scale

- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and translate ideas into impactful systems

Preferred Qualifications:

- Full-time industry experience in deep learning research or product

- Strong experience building and applying ML models for business applications

- Experience training large language models

- Experience mentoring and advising other researchers

- Strong programming skills

- Experience implementing high-performance and large-scale deep learning systems

- Thoughtful about AI impacts and ethics
