## Description

At Bayer, we're seeking a Regional Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering & Technology department, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and advancing process technologies within production facilities.

Your primary responsibilities will include leading engineering teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure processes comply with industry standards and are continuously improved to meet operational goals.

Key tasks include:

- Maintaining and improving existing control systems, ensuring equipment reliability, on-stream time, seed quality, and safety of seed manufacturing operations.

- Conceiving, designing, installing, starting up, and commissioning medium-scale automation/control improvement projects.

- Leading and driving PLC, HMI programming, and IT management efforts at sites.

- Becoming an expert in site production and control system needs and providing technical support.

- Monitoring, trending, identifying, and developing solutions to control system issues.

- Collaborating with other automation engineers to ensure strong network alignment and standardized systems.

- Mentoring automation technicians.

To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable technology with 3 years of experience, or 8 years of practical experience.
