## Description

As a Sales Engineer at Samsara, you will be part of a diverse team working to modernize essential industries through IoT solutions.

Your work will directly contribute to a cleaner, more efficient, and productive supply chain by creating safer roadways, reducing fuel consumption and emissions, and providing a consolidated platform for connecting operations.

Responsibilities:

- Become an expert on Samsara products, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring.

- Articulate to prospects how businesses use Samsara to solve industry-specific challenges.

- Deliver work products that get deals done, such as discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof of concept implementations.

- Walk installers through scenarios, explaining best practices for installing Samsara products and helping build deployment plans.

- Write scripts against the open API to solve real-world problems for companies.

- Act as a liaison between Samsara's product and sales teams, translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited university.

- 2+ years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support capacity.

- Ability to influence stakeholders based on technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.

- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.

- Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.

Preferred qualifications:

- Bachelor's or advanced education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Experience with task automation scripting and transferring data between systems using languages like Bash, Python, or JavaScript.

- Experience building solutions leveraging open APIs.

- Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including Controller Area Networks (CAN bus) and Power Take Off (PTO) applications.

Compensation:

- Annual OTE salary: $109,480 - $128,800 USD.
