## Description

We are seeking an exceptional software engineer with expertise in C or C++ programming languages, strong Linux skills, and experience developing real-time multi-threaded applications on multi-core platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid Software Engineering background, technical knowledge of networking protocols, and excellent problem-solving skills to develop and deliver SD-WAN/SASE appliance software subsystems and features.

Responsibilities:

- Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.

- Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.

- Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.

- Participates as a member of project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective and high-quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem.

- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

Education and Experience Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required; master’s degree preferred

- 3+ years of development experience

- Excellent coding skills in C or C++

- Hands-on experience working in a Linux environment with strong understanding of Linux operating system functionality and capabilities

- Expertise developing real-time multi-threaded applications on multi-core platforms

- Strong Software Engineering background

- Good understanding of Routing and Switching Protocols (OSPF, BGP, VRRP etc)

- Solid technical knowledge of networking protocols and applications, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, GRE Tunneling, IP Security, Firewall etc.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a self-motivated approach to tackling complex technical issues

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
