## Description

As a General Surgeon at Bear River Clinic and Bear River Valley Hospital, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.

In this role, you'll join a community-focused general surgery practice serving a high-need rural population, offering autonomy, procedural variety, and long-term stability through a full-scope general surgery practice with a strong endoscopy component. This is a solo General Surgeon position with the opportunity to collaborate with a larger regional group, as well as the chance to build and grow a robotics program with a surgical robot expected to arrive by the end of the year.

**Responsibilities:**

- 2 days clinic per week

- Call expectations include 8 days of call built into the base salary, with additional compensation for any excess coverage.

- This position includes a $50,000 starting bonus and up to $20,000 relocation assistance (if applicable)

**Requirements:**

- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery

- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one

- BLS, ACLS certification and DEA

- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process

- Endoscopy proficiency required as this community has a significant need for endoscopic services

- Robotic surgery experience or strong interest preferred, with a robotic platform expected to be implemented by the end of the year
