## Description

We are seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team at Budge Dermatology Clinic.

As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care.

Responsibilities:

- Provide patient care under the direction of the clinician

- Communicate clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities, including telephone and in-person interactions

- Work with cross-functional teams to collaborate on patient care

Requirements:

- One of the following: proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program, at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience, or current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Utah

- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry

- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting

- Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software

- Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA

Physical Requirements:

- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies

- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately

- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
