## Description

We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and help us build AI systems that fundamentally change how data science gets done. As a Data Scientist at Perplexity, you will be responsible for building AI agents that conduct full analyses autonomously, forming hypotheses, writing and running queries, interpreting results, and drafting recommendations. You will also be responsible for making the entire data warehouse AI-readable so any system can query it accurately.

## Skills

### Required
- Deep SQL expertise
- Pipeline experience
- Enough software engineering chops to be dangerous

### Nice to have
- Experience with dbt
- Snowflake administration and optimization
- You've built Slack bots, internal CLI tools, or developer productivity tools that people actually used
- Background in AI agent frameworks
- Experience with BI tools
- A/B testing and experimentation
- Early-stage startup experience
