As a Medical Director at ICON, you will drive medical initiatives within project teams, guiding strategic direction and decision-making processes, and offer expert medical and scientific guidance, leveraging therapeutic expertise to inform project development.

**Responsibilities**

You will lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing strategic medical leadership and guidance on project teams.

- Offering expert medical and scientific consultation throughout project lifecycles.

- Ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in medical and safety monitoring activities.

- Representing the Medical Affairs Department in business development initiatives.

- Providing operational oversight within the Medical Affairs Department as needed.

**Your Profile**

You will bring significant medical affairs experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results. Required qualifications and experience:

- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Oncology or Hematology.

- At least 7 years of clinical practice in Oncology or Hematology (Board Certified Oncologist or Hematologist) OR extensive experience in Oncology/Hematology clinical research (as Investigator, Sub-investigator, Medical Monitor, Safety Physician, etc).

- Proven track record of medical leadership and consultation within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.

- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the department effectively.

- Demonstrated ability to provide operational management in the absence of senior management.

- Willingness to work on occasional on-call shifts
