## Description

As Mercury grows rapidly, we're evolving our frontend foundations to support our expanding product. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and refine our frontend infrastructure, focusing on React, TypeScript, and Vite.

You will:

- Strengthen the frontend foundations that every Mercury engineer builds on, evolving our React, TypeScript, and Vite infrastructure to support teams in shipping ambitious product work with speed and confidence.

- Help engineers move efficiently with automation, using static analysis, local tools, and LLM coding tools to quickly resolve issues.

- Optimize our testing platform for fast feedback loops and high confidence, providing QA tools for product teams to move quickly and safely.

- Make our CI/CD pipelines stable, ergonomic, and fast, supporting dozens of daily deploys to production and hundreds of commits on PR branches.

- Drive decisions by unifying technical metrics from our tools with sentiment metrics from developer surveys, building observability to let the team move with confidence.

- Foster enthusiasm about frontend work at Mercury by making the good path the easy path and representing our work in larger venues.

The ideal candidate has:

- 6-8+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on the frontend and deep experience with React and TypeScript.

- Experience leading complex engineering projects that cut across multiple teams and functions.

- Strong communication skills, adept at communicating across organization boundaries and driving discussions to productive ends.

- Experience maintaining internal libraries or platform tooling that other engineers depend on.

- A thorough understanding of modern frontend developer tooling and workflows, including build systems, CI/CD, web hosting, and testing.

Our total rewards package includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits. Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are:

- US employees (any location): $200,700 - $250,900

- Canadian employees (any location): CAD $189,700 - $237,100
