## Description

TransPerfect is seeking an Accounts Payable (Domestic Operations) Supervisor to join our Accounting department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for verifying, processing, and paying operational invoices, including employee reimbursements, non-project related suppliers, tax and other regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities:

- Resolve payment issues and answer payment questions from company vendors

- Ensure expenditures are within policy/guidelines

- Monitor default coding in the Accounting system to ensure accuracy

- Advise on proper GL coding as it relates to accruals, prepaid expenses, and capital expenditures

- Issue checks to vendors, including lease/loan payments, operations recurring payments, and employee reimbursements

- Ensure invoices are approved in a timely manner in the Accounting system

- Review invoice batches daily to ensure proper codes were used

- Post daily batches and check for inter-company codes and override defaults

- Research issues as required and review the work of specialists

- Conduct invoice audits of expenses and improve processes

- Communicate with bank representatives and maintain an open line of communication with other departments

- Review employee timesheets and perform annual reviews

- Coach staff on how best to navigate non-standard challenges

Essential Skills and Required Experience:

- 3-5 years work experience within Accounts Payable

- Superb attention to detail and strong computer skills (Great Plains experience preferred)

- Ability to perform in high-pressure situations and problem-solving skills

- Understanding of our chart of accounts and basic understanding of GAAP accounting as relates to payables

- Superb written and spoken communication skills

- Bachelor's degree or appropriate job experience (Accounting or Finance preferred)

- General office management experience very useful

- Mindset to continuously improve the work process
