## Description

As a Seed Technician at Bayer, you will operate machinery and equipment in the production process, manage the grower network, and ensure safety, effectiveness, and quality in alignment with general procedures.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

- Operating equipment in production sites and leveraging real-time data to maximise existing procedures

- Performing preventive maintenance and inspections, and troubleshooting problems associated with equipment, processes, and systems as needed

- Supporting areas across the plant in driving the adoption of continuous improvement practices and programs

- Providing coaching and training to seasonal workforce, area trainees, and peers

- Ensuring upstream activities are handled within company standards and business requirements

- Cultivating partnerships with key business partners

- Using SAP to support administrative procedures and documenting key readings, maintenance orders, and production information

- Demonstrating knowledge of and adherence to Bayer's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards

- Complying with internal procedures and supporting compliance with legal requirements

- Participating in and preparing to lead Daily Direction Setting meetings

- Supporting and maintaining metrics and relevant information on current Visual Management boards

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A high school diploma or GED

- Basic knowledge of IT, including internet, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

- A valid driver's license

- The ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs

- The ability to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require

Preferred qualifications include:

- A bachelor's degree with an agriculture focus

- Bilingualism in Spanish

The hourly rate for this role is between $25.69 and $32.28, with additional compensation potentially including a bonus or commission. Benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.
