## Description

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter, Marine & Specialty to join our team in Hong Kong.

**Job Description**

As an Underwriter, Marine & Specialty, you will review new submissions and renewals of Cargo, Freight Forwarder Liability, Hull, and Fine and Specie risks within assigned authority limits. You will analyze all pertinent data to determine the acceptability of risks according to established underwriting standards.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review endorsements on existing policies to identify any changes in original coverage or amounts

- Evaluate, accept, reject, or modify risks within established underwriting guidelines and authorities

- Promote Chubb coverage, products, and services to producers; maintain and promote satisfactory service relationships with producer staff to obtain necessary underwriting information and obtain new or targeted business

- Provide assistance on underwriting and administration matters to the underwriting team and managers where necessary

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

- Preferably 2 years of experience in Marine or Fine Art insurance, Shipping, or Logistics; candidates with relevant working experience and transferable skills will also be considered

- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a confident manner

- Mature, disciplined, self-motivated, and eager to learn

- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus

- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
