## Description

HP is looking for a talented and motivated engineer to join our Workstations R&D team. We are seeking an engineer with a strong passion for low‑level development and hands‑on hardware experience.

You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, helping to design, develop, and deliver cutting‑edge workstation solutions used by some of the world’s most demanding customers.

As an engineer on the HP Z Workstations team, you will design, develop, debug, and maintain UEFI system firmware (BIOS) to deliver innovative solutions to customers.

You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with early access to unreleased hardware and software, gaining broad technical experience while solving complex customer problems.

**Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, debug, and maintain UEFI system firmware (BIOS)

- Work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with early access to unreleased hardware and software

- Gain broad technical experience while solving complex customer problems

**Desired Experience and Knowledge**

- Professional experience in firmware development

- Strong C programming skills

- Experience with UEFI/BIOS, microcontrollers, embedded systems or other low-level code

- Experience with debuggers, protocol analyzers, and software development tools

- Knowledge of hardware-software integration and low-level system design

**Education**

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar

The pay range for this role is $93,400 to $143,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
