## Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Prospa. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial insights.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing and supporting the month-end close process, including general ledger integrity and reconciliations.

- Performing loan book reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of related entries.

- Supporting daily payment processing and cash flow activities.

- Acting as the key point of contact for external audits and supporting the audit process.

- Preparing financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS).

- Handling compliance and regulatory reporting requirements, including statutory obligations.

- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial information.

- Mentoring and guiding junior accountants, fostering technical development and best practices.

- Driving process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Contributing to ad hoc projects and strategic finance initiatives as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- CA/CPA qualification with 4-6 years of experience in financial accounting roles.

- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
