## Description

GovTech is the lead agency driving Singapore's Smart Nation initiatives and public sector digital transformation. As the Centre of Excellence for Infocomm Technology and Smart Systems (ICT & SS), GovTech develops the Singapore Government's capabilities in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Application Development, Smart City Technology, Digital Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity.

We're looking for a Lead Designer / Design Manager to join our mission-driven product team to design intuitive, inclusive, and impactful digital services for citizens, employers, and industry partners. You'll play a key role in shaping experiences through research and data-driven design, co-creating with stakeholders, and collaborating across product, design, and engineering.

**What You'll Do:**

- Work with product leads, program leaders, and product owners to ensure the continuous and valuable presence of design across product phases, from discovery through delivery, and into measurement and iteration.

- Work with teams as needed to reframe system complexity into usable, inclusive, and coherent experiences that align with policy, tech, and operational realities.

- Interface with your peers in engineering and product to integrate design with technical architecture, systems, and existing compliance/legal framework.

- Work with programs and teams to consult on using end-to-end design work for complex, ambiguous, and high-impact programs.

- Be the practice lead in your domain of expertise. Set the standards in design processes, methodology, and outputs, constantly pushing to improve the quality and standards of the work within your domain and program.

- Evangelise and lead in systems thinking, design-led thinking, and strategic thinking at the top level of the organisation.

- Track and manage design KPIs and OKRs across the programs under your purview.

- Manage other design team members.

- Actively be on the lookout for new design tools, methods, and processes to improve designer engagement and output.

- Advocate for accessibility, inclusive design, and consistent use of design system components.

- Champion a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement.

**What We're Looking For:**

- 10+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing research, ideation, and design execution.

- Experience driving design to and shipping products, preferably in complex or high-impact domains.

- Experience working in OKRs and product analytics, agile teams, and engaging in hypothesis-driven rapid cycles of iteration and feedback.

- Clear communicator with excellent visual, written, and presentation skills.

- Prior experience with designing for government services, regulated domains, or complex workflows is a strong plus.

- Strong experience in service design and business process redesign is a bonus.
