## Description

ICON is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to join their team. The successful candidate will be home-based in New Zealand or the UK.

As a Senior Medical Writer, your primary responsibility will be to provide scientific and medical/clinical writing support as part of a dedicated team servicing an assigned client. You will work closely with the Scientific Manager and other members of the client account team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality and scientifically/medically accurate assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

- Interpret clinical data and adapt it to meet project objectives

- Ensure compliance with medical publications and communications guidelines

- Represent assigned work at internal and external meetings

- Contribute to client publication and communication plans

- Assist in managing medical writing resources, including monitoring workload and mentoring junior writers

Requirements:

- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD)

- Prior relevant experience in medical publications or communications

- Minimum 3-5 years of high-level content development experience

- Proficiency with ICMJE and GPP guidelines

- Ability to work efficiently with network directories and databases

- Familiarity with industry-standard resources (e.g., PubMed, clinicaltrials.gov)

- Ability to work with cross-functional teams

- Proficiency with commonly used software (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, EndNote)
