## Description

We are seeking an Associate Transport Planner to join our Development Planning team in Edinburgh. As an Associate Transport Planner, you will lead the day-to-day technical transport planning input into development planning projects, perform project management and leadership roles, and mentor early career professionals.

Responsibilities include:

- Leading technical work on transport assessments, travel plans, access strategies, parking strategies, and sustainable transport provision

- Preparing traffic flow information for transport assessments and environmental statements

- Setting up and running junction capacity modelling software, such as Junctions 10 and Linsig

- Project management on small to medium-scale projects

- Carrying out conceptual junction design and supervising others

- Communicating effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders

- Sharing knowledge and mentoring others on technical expertise

Requirements:

- Experience in leading technical work on transport planning projects

- Expertise in preparing traffic flow information and junction capacity modelling

- Experience in project management and conceptual junction design

- Good communication skills and ability to mentor others

- Proficiency in software packages such as Excel and Word

- Chartered status in a transport-related discipline is desirable
