## Description

Diageo is seeking a Corporate Relations Director to shape the company's policy and reputational environment, protecting its license to operate, unlocking long-term growth, and enhancing its reputation.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Corporate Relations EVP for NAM and will be responsible for executing the Global CR Strategy within the market, working closely with the Managing Director/General Manager, leadership team, and other functional heads.

Key responsibilities include:

- Navigating and shaping the public policy environment, including excise and customs duties, international trade, and regulatory policies

- Delivering internal and external corporate communications, including media relations and issues and crisis communications

- Developing and implementing the society agenda, including programs and initiatives on positive drinking, social impact, and sustainability

- Building trusted relationships with government, customers, trade associations, and other industry bodies

- Leading multi-pronged campaigns, influencing, communications, and partner management

The ideal candidate will have:

- 10+ years of experience in CR or relevant roles, ideally in highly regulated sectors for a multinational or large organization

- Strong leadership experience, partnering with senior business leaders, government, and customers

- Ability to operate in a matrix structure, implementing global strategies at a local market level

- Strong capabilities in public policy, government relations, and strategic communications

- Bilingualism in French and English

In return, Diageo offers a competitive salary range of CAD $135,000 to CAD $225,000, as well as a comprehensive rewards and benefits package.
