## Description

We are seeking a Financial Advisor to join our team in Ottawa. As an RBC Financial Advisor, you will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients, providing proactive, professional advice and collaborating with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals.

**Responsibilities:**

- Consistently demonstrate empathy, kindness, and understanding in all interactions with colleagues and clients

- Communicate effectively to uncover client needs, deliver client-centric advice, and proactively resolve client concerns

- Use your own advice capabilities and those of the right partner in the RBC ecosystem to meet clients' entire suite of financial needs

- Provide professional advice and education on complex credit and investments

- Champion digital enablement and educate clients to self-serve

- Make good use of technology to connect with clients virtually and face-to-face

- Implement effective contact and relationship-building strategies to accelerate new client acquisition and retention

- Collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking

**Requirements:**

- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)

- Canada (excluding Quebec) - Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation

- Quebec – Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance

- 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry

- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships

- Digital literacy across a broad range of devices

- Fluency in Mandarin
