## Description

We are seeking a Network Routing Design Engineer Senior to join our team in Quantico, VA. As a key member of the SMIT-MCEN program, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and optimizing enterprise networks for the US Navy.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering, routing, and design, with a strong focus on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) technologies.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

- Design, develop, implement, and integrate enterprise network routing solutions

- Develop and implement network security solutions using Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Access Control Lists (ACLs), Internet Protocol Security (IPsec), and other approved technologies

- Evaluate network architecture and develop scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions

- Plan and execute network conversions, cutovers, upgrades, and migrations

- Perform Capacity and Demand Management activities, including network utilization assessments and traffic analysis

- Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and implementation plans

- Provide senior-level technical expertise and recommendations to Government stakeholders and engineering teams

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise network engineering, routing, design, implementation, and troubleshooting

- US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance

- Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III certification

- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Version 3 Foundation certification

- Professional-level certification in one or more networking technologies, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing and Switching, CCNP Enterprise, or CCNP Service Provider certification

- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP) certification

- Experience supporting the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), or comparable Department of Defense enterprise networks

- Experience with Navy/Marine Corps, DISA, and Joint network interoperability requirements
