The Senior Manager, Events & Industry Strategy will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the events portfolio for CVS Media Exchange (CMX) to elevate CMX's presence as a thought leader within the retail media landscape. This role involves managing and growing strong relationships with partners, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring consistent communication and execution of strategy.

Key responsibilities:

- Own strategy, development, and execution of the CMX annual events calendar

- Serve as an industry expert in retail media, identifying whitespace opportunities and conducting competitive assessments

- Act as the main point of contact for external industry and media partners

- Lead all facets of external and CMX team event production and management

- Support preparation and coordination of CMX presenters

- Own and evolve all sales enablement deliverables tied to events

- Deliver post-event analysis and recommendations

- Partner cross-functionally to achieve shared goals

- Manage resolution of all post-program deliverables

- Proactively self-educate around CPG, retail, and retail media industry trends

Requirements:

- 7+ years of experience in Event Management, Communications, Retail Marketing, Media, or a related field

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Strategic Communications, or a related field

Preferred qualifications:

- Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally

- Unflappable and calm under pressure

- Resourceful and able to take charge

- Organized with excellent budget, timeline, and relationship management

- Flexible and able to pivot direction quickly

- Exceptional communicator with strong written and verbal skills

- Skilled negotiator with third-party vendor partners

- Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

- Experience in e-retail, e-commerce, or a retail media network is a plus

This is a hybrid role requiring work in one of our Corporate Hubs 2 or more days a week: Wellesley, MA, Woonsocket, RI, or New York, NY.

The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $199,144.00
