## Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

As a Senior Mission Software Engineer, you will join the Imaging Interfaces team and own fielded system success, building and maintaining production services, supporting field operations, representing the team externally, maintaining end-to-end system understanding, and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities:

- Own fielded system success and triage issues across the full stack

- Build and maintain production services that run on edge-compute devices in austere environments

- Support field operations and work directly with field operators and non-technical users

- Represent the team externally and serve as a subject matter expert in integrations with other products and teams

- Maintain end-to-end system understanding and develop broad fluency across the hardware, firmware, networking, and software stack

- Collaborate across teams and plan, build, and test complex functionality alongside firmware, hardware, and platform engineers

Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience in software development with meaningful production responsibility

- Strong Python and C++ skills

- 8+ years working in Linux-based environments, including bare-metal hardware

- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve issues across system boundaries

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time for field testing and customer integrations

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience with gRPC or similar RPC frameworks

- Familiarity with systems service management and observability practices on Linux

- React/JSX experience

- Familiarity with Nix or NixOS

- Experience supporting fielded or deployed systems

Salary Range: $191,000-$254,000 USD
