## Description

We are seeking a Cloud Applications Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. As a Cloud Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for developing complex business requirements into needed business functionality, maintaining and testing backend systems within the department.

**Job Purpose** The Cloud Applications Engineer will be an experienced SaaS toolset practitioner, gaining end-to-end knowledge of the system ecosystem, supporting day-to-day activities, and focusing on systems in contract management, sustainability, corporate security, and records management areas as needed.

**Key Accountabilities**

- Develop, maintain, and test assigned systems, including becoming familiar with customer business needs and priorities.

- Gain a complete understanding of internal and external interfaces to support day-to-day operation of applications.

- Achieve goals for your area of responsibility, supporting business objectives to deliver value by providing quality IT products and services.

- Apply continuous improvement methods to resolve quality and other problems in a timely fashion.

- Identify areas that require strengthening and bring them forward to management.

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**

- Minimum 4-year college-level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM field of study.

- 5 years of experience with general software development methodologies, SaaS Cloud toolsets, and platforms, including hands-on experience with SaaS configuration, API coding and configuring, and middleware frameworks.

- Strong technical and listening skills, good analytical skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and presentation skills.

- Ability to manage time and diverse activities under deadlines while delivering quality results, on time, on budget.

**Workstyle** This is an onsite job, with one remote workday per week possible with prior departmental approval.
