## Description

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $21.50 - $23.50, with a full pay range of $21.50 - $36.55 per hour.

As a General Merchandise Team Leader at Target, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, driving sales growth, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading a team of hourly team members to achieve sales goals and guest engagement

- Ensuring every team member understands and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments

- Reviewing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities for improvement

- Executing daily and weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals

- Educating team members on operational procedures and their impact on inventory management and store profitability

- Assessing reporting to identify gaps in GM processes and developing plans to resolve them

- Leading and demonstrating a safety culture, including modelling and recognising safe behaviours

- Supporting merchandise protection strategies across the total store

- Occasionally assuming store-level leadership on duty responsibilities

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Age 18 or older

- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required

- Ability to lead and hold others accountable

- Effective communication skills

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members

- Access to all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues

- Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information

- Accurately handling cash register operations as needed

- Climbing up and down ladders

- Scanning, handling, and moving merchandise efficiently and safely

- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
