## Description

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, providing various services such as food delivery, financial management, and transportation.

We are a team establishing the accounting position on every headline Grab M&A transaction. Technical Accounting Group (TAG) sits within the Group Accounting Office and reports into the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO).

This role puts you inside how M&A actually gets booked in the financial statements, from the perspective of purchase price allocations, put/call options, valuation, deal structuring, alongside the IFRS playbook covering business combinations, revenue, financial instruments, leases, share based payment, operating segments and impairment.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:

- Ensure the Group’s financial statements comply with IFRS accounting standards.

- Prepare accounting memos on initial classification and measurement for newly identified accounting issues.

- Support the quarter-end closing process by ensuring all accounting items relating to significant transactions and the valuation of financial instruments are accurately recorded and reported.

- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team and other stakeholders.

- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on technical accounting documentation.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and tax.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical accounting, external audit, or financial reporting with IFRS exposure in preparing financial statements and working with complex accounting issues.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

- Excellent ability to collaborate and explain complex accounting concepts to stakeholders.
