## Description

The Meriden Hospital in Coventry, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Radiographer to join their team in the Imaging department.

This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

**Responsibilities:**

- Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, including general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, and mobiles, following referral and imaging protocols.

- Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.

- Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility.

- Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.

- Monitor patients' conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.

- Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.

- Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems.

- Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.

**Requirements:**

- BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.

- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.

- Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment with a minimum of 1 year UK hospital (NHS or private) experience.

- Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography) desirable.

**Salary & Benefits:**

- Competitive hourly rate up to £22.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training, and qualification).
