## Description

Leidos Defense Sector / Manufacturing is seeking a talented CNC Machinist to join its Platform Integration team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setup, and operation of various machine tools, including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

The CNC Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts. Experience in manufacturing complex aerospace components from exotic materials is a plus. The role involves working on different projects in a fast-paced environment with little or no assistance.

**Responsibilities:**

- Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts

- Work on various projects in a rapid-paced environment with minimal assistance

- Experience with 5-axis and/or mill-turn machining is desirable

**Basic Qualifications:**

- High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes

- Ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted

- Ability to stand for long periods

- Regular attendance required

- Must be a US citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance

- Work full-time, 4 days (Monday-Thursday), 10-hour shifts, with occasional overtime

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 5-axis machining experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls

- Experience setting up CNC Mill and/or lathes

- Experience setting up consumable mill/lathe tooling

**Pay Range:** $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
