## Description

We are seeking a Principal Analyst to lead complex analytical programmes and develop innovative freight modelling and data solutions that shape national transport decisions.

The successful candidate will be part of the Freight and Borders Analysis division, working closely with the multimodal and road policy teams.

Key responsibilities include:

- Co-leading the development of a new National Freight Model (NFM)

- Leading the data strategy for the model, developing innovative new datasets

- Managing a multi-million pound project and leading cutting-edge consultancies

- Promoting and championing the use of evidence and analysis in policy

- Overseeing delivery plans, tracking progress, and managing risks

- Managing contractors and commissioned work

- Building and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

The role requires strong technical capabilities, experience in managing high-profile analytical projects, and the ability to drive change and improve how transport is analysed.

The salary for this role is GBP 59,816 - 64,515 per year.
