## Description

As Vanta's Internal Communications Director, you'll help set the internal beat of the company, ensuring every team member understands key messages while defining how the company communicates internally as it scales.

The People team builds systems, culture, and experiences that enable Vanta team members to excel as the company grows rapidly worldwide. Internal communications is central to this mission, ensuring every Vanta team member understands the strategy, story, and expectations.

Reporting to the Head of People, this role involves building internal communications from scratch, defining strategies, infrastructure, and cadence, and having the autonomy to bring your voice and instincts to the role.

**Responsibilities:**

- Shape how Vanta tells its story internally and ensures key messages resonate at the right moments.

- Develop and manage internal communications infrastructure, including channels, cadences, and best practices.

- Own key internal company-wide moments, from planning to delivery.

- Collaborate with the People team on sensitive communications.

- Serve as a strategic communications partner across the business.

- Partner with Marketing and External Comms to align narratives.

- Advise the C-team and Leadership Team on communications.

- Foster company culture and morale through communications.

- Evolve internal communications strategy and toolkit as the company scales.

- Measure and refine internal communications effectiveness.

**Requirements:**

- 8-10+ years of experience in internal communications, preferably at a high-growth company.

- Proven track record in developing and executing internal communications strategies.

- Strong writing and storytelling skills.

- Ability to operate at strategic and executional levels.

- Executive influence and partnership skills.

- Experience with People/HR teams on sensitive communications.

- Excellent judgment and prioritization skills.

- A natural sense for culture and energy.

- Willingness to take risks and try new approaches.

- Ability to leverage AI responsibly.
