## Description

The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth is looking for a Band 5 Registered Children's Nurse to join our busy Paediatrics team. Our Paediatrics staff provide expert knowledge and services across the Hospital including Outpatients and our Urgent Care Centre.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within Paediatrics in an acute hospital setting, including Outpatients, Children's Emergency or Urgent Care. You will have a passion for delivering excellent patient care across a diverse base of specialties as part of a small, welcoming and flexible team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing high-quality nursing care and supporting team members to maintain best practice

- Ensuring documentation is completed accurately and within agreed timescales

- Assessing, treating, transferring and discharging children from the Hospital setting

- Facilitating a seamless service for children across care settings

- Administering medication competently

- Communicating effectively to promote open and trusting relationships

The ideal candidate will have:

- Current NMC Children's nursing registration

- Minimum of 3 years post-registration in nursing field (Outpatients and Emergency Department)

- Significant post-registration skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

- Good organisational and time management skills

- Confident decision-making skills
