## Description

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President - Private Banker to join our Private Bank team in Singapore. As a Private Banker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional sales and business performance by acquiring, developing, and maintaining highly proactive, long-term client relationships. You will protect Barclays' reputation through sound risk decisions by managing client groups within their risk profile and appropriate regulatory framework.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients, identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs.

- Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in your portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client/prospect queries and requests, and identifying opportunities that will deliver long-term commercial reward.

- Manage operational, reputational, financial crime, and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk.

- Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Service/group relationships - referrals to group colleagues.

**Assistant Vice President Expectations:**

- Adviase and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.

- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives, and determination of reward outcomes.

- Demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard.

**Requirements:**

- Relevant experience in private banking or a similar field.

- Strong understanding of financial markets and products.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
