## Description

The Platform team at Spotify creates technology that enables the company to learn quickly and scale easily. The IT Studio, a part of this team, focuses on removing friction and unblocking employees with simplicity and safety. We're seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee a group of Engineering Managers and approximately 50 engineers and technicians across the studio.

You will set engineering strategy, strengthen technical practices, and partner with product and studio leadership to balance engineering investment with business priorities.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead and develop Engineering Managers across multiple teams

- Set and communicate engineering strategy across the studio

- Strengthen technical judgment across the Engineering Manager group

- Identify patterns and opportunities across teams and drive improvements in engineering practice

- Establish and evolve engineering best practices across the studio

- Champion reliability, security, compliance, and privacy as fundamental parts of engineering decision-making

- Shape how AI is used across the company

- Partner with studio and alliance leadership, procurement, legal, engineering counterparts, and teams across Spotify

Requirements:

- 8+ years of engineering experience and experience leading Engineering Managers across multiple teams

- Experience leading engineering organisations at scale

- Enterprise technology experience with identity and access, SaaS platforms, endpoint management, workplace technology, architecture, or related systems

- Improved engineering practices across multiple teams

- Developed Engineering Managers into stronger leaders

- Experience with AI tooling or related technologies

- Strategic thinker who can set direction across a broad organisation
