## Description

Make a difference in the lives of military Service Members and their families as a licensed mental healthcare provider with Leidos. You will provide counselling services without the administrative burden of insurance or paperwork.

As a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC), you will be part of the Mission Ready Reserve (MRR) team, which provides flexible, PRN-type scheduling, allowing you to focus on your passion for helping others.

The current opening is for a backfill position in Twentynine Palms, CA, supporting Service Members and their families.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide face-to-face counselling to military service members and their families (individual, couples, family, and children)

- Recommend referrals and handoffs to military and community resources

- Offer presentations on social skills development and social emotional learning

- Build rapport with service members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events

- Help families and children with challenges particular to the military community

**Requirements:**

- Master's degree or higher in Behavioural Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)

- Valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)

- U.S. citizen

- Ability to pass a basic background check and Public Trust clearance
