## Description

Ice Miller LLP is seeking a summer associate who is interested in patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation to join our Intellectual Property team in Philadelphia or New York.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or life sciences, including biology, microbiology, or chemistry.

The 10-week summer associate program includes:

- Exposure to the Intellectual Property practice group and other practice groups

- Opportunities to develop working relationships with attorneys and patent agents to enhance research, writing, and presentation skills

- Guidance, mentoring, and regular feedback

- In-depth training focused on professional and substantive legal skills

- Opportunities for client contact

- Social events and team building activities

Requirements:

- Eligible to take the Patent Bar

- Interest in litigation

- Strong writing and analytical ability

- Ability to excel in a team environment

- Leadership skills

- Prior work experience, including legal, military, or service industry experience

- Curious, motivated, and able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic work environments

- Diligent time and project management

- Prior experiences that prepare you to work with attorneys/agents, staff, and clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds

- Permanent authorization to work in the United States

- Obtained an undergraduate degree and enrolled in the JD class of 2028 at an accredited law school

Compensation: $4,134 weekly in New York and $3,990 weekly in Philadelphia.
