## Description

The Hillingdon Speech and Language Therapy department is a friendly, enthusiastic team that strives to provide high-quality services for the diverse population of the London Borough of Hillingdon.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and innovative Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work in our Early Years Team alongside our SLT Assistants. The successful candidate will have proficient skills in assessing and managing pre-school children and will work with other team members to support junior colleges and continue to develop the service being offered.

**Main Duties of the Job:**

- Provide specialist services to pre-school children with speech, language, and communication needs

- Conduct specialist assessments and diagnoses of children within Early Years settings

- Offer specialist ongoing therapy through individual and group sessions

- Provide advice and training to parents and other professionals on early identification, intervention, and prevention

- Contribute to and provide feedback on possible developments in the team

**Requirements:**

- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification (minimum of 2:1 or equivalent)

- Health and Care Professions Council licence to practise

- Registered member of RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists)

- Experience of working with pre-school children as a therapist

- Experience of assessing pre-school children

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with professionals, children, and their families
