## Description

Thought Machine's mission is to rid the world's banks of legacy technology by developing modern banking foundations through core and payments technology that run natively in the cloud.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be the primary technical interface with clients, embedding with their engineering teams to design, build, and deliver production-ready implementations of Vault and associated products.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Hands-on cloud infrastructure consulting on client sites and remotely

- Designing and preparing suitable cloud infrastructure for Thought Machine Vault products

- Deploying and configuring Vault products on client, SaaS, and internal cloud infrastructure

- Advising clients on optimizing cloud infrastructure for Vault implementation

- Supporting and troubleshooting client infrastructure remotely and on-site

- Working closely with internal product and engineering teams to incorporate client feedback

- Supporting the commercial team and cloud provider partners in the presales cycle

The ideal candidate will have:

- Tangible infrastructure experience

- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Istio

- Experience with automation/configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible

- Experience with AWS or GCP
