## Description

We are seeking a Tenant Representative as a co-opted member of the Housing and Regeneration Scrutiny Sub Committee.

As a co-opted scrutiny member, you will help shape and improve council services that matter most to residents. Overview and Scrutiny is an essential function that examines Tower Hamlets Council's decision-making, ensuring that the decisions of the Executive Mayor, Cabinet, and its partners are in the best interests of residents.

Responsibilities:

- Attend evening meetings of the committees/sub committees in the Town Hall (around five times per year)

- Examine services provided by the Council and partner agencies

- Ask questions on how decisions are made

- Consider whether service improvements can be put in place

Requirements:

- Be a resident of Tower Hamlets

- Demonstrate knowledge and experience of the relevant policy areas
