## Description

We are seeking a full-time Arabic Interpreter & Translator to join our team at Millennium Translations Ltd in Leeds.

As an Interpreter & Translator, you will be responsible for providing consecutive interpretation services in various settings, including mental health, healthcare, and legal environments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Interpret verbal communications in real-time into Arabic, with careful attention to context, meaning, tone, and technical wording.

- Translate documents, including scientific, legal, and literary texts, ensuring the original meaning is conveyed accurately.

- Attend booked assignments, driving yourself to and from assignments as required.

- Adhere to high standards of professional behavior, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Interpreter Code of Conduct.

- Work on projects such as community engagement and outreach, obtaining and collating feedback.

**Requirements:**

- Fluency in English and Arabic, with cultural competence in both languages.

- Full UK driver's license and access to your own vehicle.

- Current, valid Enhanced CRB clearance.

- Minimum of one year's professional experience as an interpreter, with references required to verify experience.

- Minimum of 200 hours previous experience working as an Interpreter, ideally within the public sector.

- Qualifications in interpreting, translation, or linguistics, such as MA, BA, DPSI, or Community Interpreting Certificate.
