## Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Honor Technology, you will build systems that have real-world impact. You will be part of a team that empowers older adults to live life on their own terms. The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience, with a track record of building and operating production systems.

Responsibilities:

- Design and build core services that power how families find care and how Care Professionals do their work

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, data, and care operations

- Evolve systems from design through operation

- Share knowledge, mentor others, and contribute to a healthy, inclusive engineering culture

- Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively

Requirements:

- Strong backend engineering experience

- Experience designing relational data models and working with databases at scale

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and service-oriented architectures

- Experience with API design, distributed systems, and backend performance considerations

- Proficiency in Python or transferable backend experience with a willingness to learn Python
