## Description

We're seeking a Platform Engineer II - Infrastructure Governance to join our Engineering team in Milan. As a key member of the Infrastructure Governance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our infrastructure is highly reliable and compliant with industry standards.

Your impact: The Infrastructure Governance team sits at the heart of Mollie's infrastructure, owning and maintaining Terraform as our IaC system. You will work on Mollie's Cloud Platform (MCP), our flavour of GCP, enabling product teams to create real value. Your work will span critical cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, and system reliability.

Key responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain critical cloud infrastructure on GCP, including Load Balancers, VPC, CDN, cross-region routes, and API Gateway.

- Drive automation across the platform using Go and Python, reducing manual toil and building systems that scale without friction.

- Own and evolve infrastructure as code using Terraform, managing a broad set of infrastructure resources with consistency and confidence.

- Set up and maintain observability across team-owned projects, using tools like Datadog, Google Cloud Logging, and Sentry.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, set, and maintain SLOs and SLAs that meet the needs of our business and our merchants.

Requirements:

- Extensive hands-on knowledge of GCP and public cloud infrastructure.

- Solid experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.

- Strong Kubernetes experience, with the ability to run and operate containerised workloads in production environments.

- Proficiency in Python, with the ability to write automation and tooling that makes the platform easier to operate and extend.

- A track record of working in environments where reliability and security aren't afterthoughts.
