## Description

We are seeking an experienced E2E Senior Test Engineer to join our team at Barclays in Pune. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

### Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure software quality and reliability by developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies. You will create and execute automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.

### Accountabilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

- Create and execute automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria.

- Perform root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.

- Collaborate with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

- Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and experience in your assigned area of expertise.

- Lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements, and coordinating team resources.

### Requirements

- Strong experience in end-to-end testing within Cards Issuing, Payments, or Banking domains.

- Proven expertise in test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and coordination of SIT, E2E, UAT, and production proving activities.

- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, or similar).

- Solid understanding of API, database, and integration testing.

### Nice to Have

- Experience in Cards Issuing platforms such as TSYS, Mastercard, Visa, Rewards, Loyalty, or Customer Servicing systems.

- Knowledge of modern test automation practices including AI-assisted testing, self-healing automation scripts, test data automation, and intelligent test reporting.

- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
