Healthcare-Tech is a division within GovTech, forward-deployed to and collaborating closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH) family (including other agencies and statutory boards), operating like a modern product organisation to solve important and currently underserved problems spanning across Singapore's public Healthcare sector.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical direction, design, implementation, and delivery of the products owned by one or more of your squads.

Responsibilities:

- Define your team's engineering vision and strategy, aligned with the organisation's overall goals, and communicate it clearly across the team and stakeholders.

- Partner with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritise and manage roadmaps, delivering against the product vision incrementally and efficiently.

- Own the long-term technical roadmap for your squads, updating it regularly to address future product/business needs, security, compliance, and infrastructure requirements.

- Establish practices, tools, and measurable standards to foster a strong engineering culture and maximise team effectiveness.

- Define squad norms for AI-assisted development, including guardrails, code review standards, and quality benchmarks.

- Hold regular 1:1s and structured performance conversations with engineers, providing constructive feedback, mentoring, and guidance to support their professional growth.

- Own and drive quality, reliability, and security strategies within your team.

- Contribute to recruitment efforts, particularly for senior hires.

- Proactively identify and initiate high-impact engineering initiatives that maximise outcomes for users and the business.

What we are looking for: Technical Skills:

- Proven track record of leading & delivering technically complex products.

- Experience working on reasonably large, high-availability software systems that have operated at scale.

- Experience with modern full-stack technologies.

- Strong knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL) and data modelling.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
